HISTORY

On October 27th, 1970, starts operations a new organization called “Productos Alimenticios La Morena S.A.”, whose name honors Virgin of Guadalupe, patroness of the Mexican people.

Since September 8th, 1970, operations of this new organization have remained continuous and increasing, base on an exemplary philosophy, established by its founders, and emphasizing certain values identified with human being respect, tradition and religious attachment.

Under this framework, company’s directives undertake new strategies aiming to arrange modern business plans that allow them to face significant challenges such as opening new markets, changing administrative and social structures, cutting-edge informatics technology, simplified organizational structures. All of them considering competitiveness and product quality, as the era of globalization demands.

Currently, LA MORENA® employs over 1,800 workers distributed in two production plants of approximately 43,000 square meters and 20 production lines, located in Rafael Lara Grajales, Puebla and in Huamantla, Tlaxcala. LA MORENA team works hard every day to meet our customers expectations through our products.

“Quality and Tradition” is our slogan, and it identifies the company’s mission and objective. Our philosophy has led our directives to a major turnover of direct benefit for the personnel and, indirectly, for the region where LA MORENA® resides. In this way we have contributed to social and humanitarian work, supporting the community and its inhabitants, earning general population recognition.

For more than 50 years of work, LA MORENA® has been able to preserve, in their products, Mexican food seasoning and tradition, due to being manufactured using processes whose main focus is man’s hands, which allows to respect original recipes and offer highest quality foods.
